Flower Fairy fabric doll: Daisy, a handmade fabric fairy doll
Daisy is handmade from 100% cotton in Cape Town, South Africa. Each version of Daisy is handmade, therefore no two dolls are ever exactly alike. The version of Daisy you see in the photographs is the exact same doll that you will receive if you should order her.

Daisy the fabric fairy doll is made from 100% cotton fabric and her hair from South African Mohair. Daisy is about 35cm (13.78 inches) tall and has been stuffed with polyester stuffing.
Daisy is joyful, clever and bold!
Her soulful chocolate brown eyes , cute button nose, and the details of her hands and feet started off as an illustration on paper by Liesl van der Hoven. These illustrations were printed on fabric using water-based inks that are non-toxic and remain soft to the touch. The pigment inks have been bonded to the fabric with heat and are colourfast and spot cleanable with care. Care instructions will be included with your doll.
Daisy’s flower petal and leaf underwear was drawn on in the original illustration and cannot be removed. Her wings have been sewn to her back and also cannot be removed. (I have written a blog article about how I made the wings from fabric – please click here if you’d like to read it.) Her upper arms and thighs have been less tightly stuffed than the rest of her body which enables her to be posed in many different positions. She can sit on her own with a bit of careful balancing.
Daisy will be sent wearing her hair in two plaits, with two long ribbons fastened into her hair. These ribbons can be used to tie her plaits in loops, in two buns, or to wear her plaits tied up in a braided crown – whichever way you wish! (You will find some videos with tips to style your doll’s hair at this link!) Although her hair will stay pretty for longer if you do not untie the plaits, it is possible for Daisy to also wear her hair loose – please take care to gently comb hair with your fingers and not to use combs and brushes on her hair.
Daisy’s wings are fragile and she may not be suitable for children under the age of 3 years.
