A couple of weeks ago I visited the lovely owner of Liberty Books, Christy Weyer, at her shop to show her our books. She ordered some books for her shop from me right away, making Liberty Bookshop the first bookshop where our books can be found!
I was very pleased that Christy liked our books. Her shop has a wonderful children’s books section. Actually, Christy’s entire shop is beautifully curated and she fills her shop with the most marvelous books. She also owns the Book Bus and a fire enjin-bookshop called Burning Books.
You will find Burning Books at the Peregrine Farmstall on the N2 near Elgin. The Book Bus can currently be found at the Elgin Railway Market. I have bought books from both of these mobile bookshops, and the selection – thanks to Christy – is superb!
Both the Peregrine Farmstall and the Elgin Railway Market are fantastic destinations for a relaxed day out. You will find delicious food and interesting things to see at both these destinations.
Christy, Lenka and I would love for you to join us at this month’s story morning!
If you live close enough, please do visit us on the 24th of September! It’s a public holiday (Heritage Day), and Grabouw is only an hour’s drive from Cape Town! You could also pop in at the Elgin Railway Market and/or the Peregrine Farmstall after visiting us at Liberty Books!
Books will be available for purchase at the event, and Lenka and I could even sign your copy for you!
